Seven Gods {a poem}

(Explanation of the title at the end of the post)

♡♡♡
Seven Gods.
Red is vengeful and seductive
Flirts with a glint in his eye and a smirk on his lips
He could kill with a look
Or a knife, if that's how you'd rather go

Orange is vivid and alive
She holds your fingers in hers and calls you child
She paints the sky with her breath
And tells you the world is warmer than it seems

Yellow is unhappy
Behind his close-lipped smile his teeth are rotted
Infection curdles his insides beyond repair
And he sobs for you to come no nearer

Green is deceitful
With shimmer and glory she beckons to her forests
And deep in the trees she hides her poisons
They seep into your skin and make your eyes turn white

Blue is infinite and soulful
With eyes that swell in storms and drip with joy
Though you swear you know his secrets
He is deeper than mere reflection

Indigo is delicate
Distinguished yet so easily overlooked
Most see nothing more than a face in the crowd
And call her by a name that is not her own

Pink is joyful
She blesses young love with a touch of her rose lips
Some think her innocent, others foolish
But her small heart has felt more pain than theirs ever will

White is silent
His innocence sealed forever inside a glass coffin
He lays, eyes closed, back turned
Never to see the world without him

This poem is an interpretation of the colors as people. I chose the word "gods" in the title firstly because it sounds cool, and secondly to play into the "modern Greek gods are dying because no one believes in them anymore" idea. Thirdly, I believe these are emotions that govern us as people. Hopefully that clears up any confusion about the title that may or may not arise.

Tag yourself in this if you want, though some of them are pretty negative. What's your favorite color?

    1. it's like fairly simple but in a GOOD way. And giving the characterization to different colors that's the part that impressed me the most. Keep up the good work!

  4. This is so cool! I'd love to do something like this on my blog - I really love how your personified them and how everyone has there own visuals of the colors 💕 I guess you could do positive or negative for all of them.

    1. Thank you! Yeah, every color has like a hundred different connotations, even opposite meanings like yellow. Even if you did your own version, I think it could be completely different.
